Information about the Canadian Chapter of the
Controlled Release Society
There are many good reasons to join the Canadian Chapter of the CRS:
As a researcher in the area of controlled release you are likely aware of the international breadth of the CRS, reaching 3000 members in over 50 countries. The field of controlled release has grown substantially in Canada to the point that our own identity within the CRS is warranted. As such, we are very pleased to invite you to join the Canadian Chapter of the Controlled Release Society, for which there is no membership fee.
The Canadian Chapter of the CRS will serve as a nucleus and networking organization for academic, clinical and industrial members active in the fields of the science and technology of controlled delivery of drugs and therapeutic agents in human and animal health, and of other active agents in environmental, consumer and industrial applications. The local chapter will encourage networking opportunities and communication among Canadian controlled release specialists, and promote education and student involvement in this field. These goals will be met initially through Chapter sponsored sessions at Canadian meetings held by closely related Canadian organizations. Being supported by the CRS the Canadian Chapter will be hosted on the CRS website which offers exciting opportunities for interacting with other members not only within Canada but also internationally.
We encourage you to join us in creating what we are sure will be a successful forum for idea exchange, promotion of education and support of Canadian students. There are no membership fees for 2010 and all that is required is to complete the attached application form and return it to the Canadian Chapter secretary Dr. Mike Doschak. Thank you for your support and we look forward to working together in the coming years.
